What window tinting actually does
It is not just about how the car looks — though that matters.
Automotive window film is a thin, multi-layer sheet bonded to the inside of your glass. Good film is engineered to reject infrared radiation, which is the part of sunlight you feel as heat, and to absorb or reflect ultraviolet light, which is the part that fades and cracks everything inside your car.
In a Tampa summer that combination is worth real money. A tinted cabin cools down faster when you get in, your air conditioning stops fighting a losing battle on the drive home, and the dashboard, door cards and seats stop bleaching out year after year. Tint also holds shattered glass together in an impact and cuts the glare that makes driving into a low afternoon sun genuinely dangerous.
And there is the privacy: what is on your back seat stops being public information in every parking lot you leave the vehicle in.

Know before you tint
Florida's legal tint limits
VLT means Visible Light Transmission — the percentage of light the glass lets through. Lower number, darker tint. These are the state minimums we work within.

How many windows
Two front doors is a very different job from a full seven-window SUV with a wraparound rear screen.
Which film
Standard dyed film is the entry point. Carbon and ceramic films cost more because they reject far more heat without going darker.
The glass itself
Steeply curved rear windows need heat-shrinking. Old film that has gone purple or bubbled has to be stripped along with its adhesive before anything new goes on.
